My mother's name is :Katherine Jean Valentine. My mother had 9 children. My mother also used the names: Jeana Katie Valentine & in 1943, she used Jean Valentine Macias. She was married to Matilde Cardona Macias in 1941, in Gary, Indiana. My mother passed away in Chicago, in 3/1990. According to SSDI my mother's birthdate is 9/18/1920, but my mother always used the birthdate 6/25/1918.

When I was 5, my father, Charles Murray, changed my last name to Murray,  even though I was living in a Foster home in Chicago, Il.

All of my siblings grew up in seperate foster homes, either in Chicago, IL or Gary, Indiana. My brother Franklin and I, were the only 2 who grew up in a Foster home together. Franklin Valentine was murdered in Chicago, in 12/1974. My brother, Eugene Tatum was adopted, in Indiana, when he was young.

I moved to Houston, Tx. in 3/1991, to be near my sister Stephanie. She lived in Gary, In. until 1982, when she moved to Houston, Tx. She moved to Mission Viejo, Ca. in 1992. She passed away in 3/1995. She has 1 son, Darrick Morgan, who was born in Gary, In. but now lives in California (possibly in Orange County). Darrick works with Michael Jackson, from time to time. My nephew's father is Rufus Morgan (currently residing in Gary, In.).

I have been searching for my Father, Brothers, Sister and other family members for over 35 years.

My brothers Raymondo & Eugene and my sister Stephanie, came to the funeral, of my brother Franklin, in Maywood, Il. in 1/1975. It was the first time I met my brothers Raymondo & Eugene. About a week after the funeral, Raymondo, Eugene and I went to an Earth, Wind & Fire concert. I have not seen Raymondo & Eugene, since 1/1975.

I would appreciate any FREE help you can provide, in helping me locate the people listed in my "The Ancestory List."

I can provide some information, like birthdates(for my brother & sister) and social security number (for my mom).

**Future Plans**

I'm hoping to move back to Chicago in 2005.  After my sister Stephanie passed away in 2/1995,  I have always wanted to move back home, but never quite had enough money.  With God's help, maybe it will be possible. I just want my Family to be home, where I know we will be loved.

I am also hoping I can move my eldest daughter Tamara & my 2 granddaughters, to Chicago.

**Updates**

I did move back to Chicago in 2005.

In 2007, I sent for my daughter Tamara; 2 grandaughters; and grandson who was 6 weeks old for Christmas. The grandkids got a chance to see Chicago, for the 1st time. My daughter Tamara got a chance to come back home, after 17 years. This was the last Christmas our family had together.

In 2009, I finally convinced my daughter Tamara to move back home to Chicago. She was going to come to Chicago in March/2010, after she had the baby in the 1st week of February/2010. The baby (Haziaya) was born on 2/7/2010, but tragically, my daughter Tamara passed away on 2/24/2010, in Houston, TX.

UPDATE:

In April/2013, I learned the 1st names of all of my siblings.  Wow, it only took 54 years.

Juanita Macias-(my sister)(maiden name)(Yarber & Boudreaux-married names)- 8/19/1944 (born in Gary, In.) She currently lives in California.  This individual does not want to be bothered.

Eugene Tatum (my brother)( possibly born in 1945-1948) (born in Gary, In.)  Currently searching for this individual.

Stephanie Morgan- (my sister)3/28/1946 (born in Gary,In.)    (2/25/1995 deceased, in California) (married name Morgan) Funkis is her father's last name.

Charles Murray - (my father) - I don't know where he was born, but he was around 31 yrs. old, when I was born. In 2005, he is around 77 yrs. old.  He was also in the armed forces in Illinois, around 1962. Currently looking for this individual.

Media M. Madera- (my neice) She is the eldest child/daughter of my brother Raymondo. Currently lives in Whiting, Indiana. Located her and met her for the 1st time in 3/2005.

Eva Marie Macias- (my neice) She is the 3rd eldest child/daughter of my brother Raymondo.  She currently lives in Los Angeles, California. Located in 2002, but never met her.

Dolores Ramona Macias-(my neice) She is the 4th eldest child/daughter of my brother Raymondo. Located but never met her.
